The Y. Eva Tan Postdoctoral Fellowship is an umbrella program within the Tan-Yang Center for Autism Research at Harvard, established in 2019 with the mission to conduct research into the biological basis of neural development as it relates to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)—seeking to understand the emergence of ASD core symptoms at the genetic, cellular, and circuit levels. The Center was founded with the aim of making progress towards a deep mechanistic understanding of two major areas of ASD research: human genetics and neurodevelopment, and sensory experience-regulated social behavior. Keeping in line with this mission, the Y. Eva Tan Postdoctoral Fellowship supports outstanding postdoctoral fellows who are performing groundbreaking work in the field of ASD research, neurodevelopment, human genetics, sensory processing, behavior, or related fields. Each fellow is awarded $60,000 in direct costs to support their research.
